Gazing out into the vastness of space, wond’ring how it came to be.
Feeling small and insignificant, but yet you still found me…am I that easy to see?
It seems I’m always trying to hide from you,
But then you say the word that always gets me through -

Forgiven, for your mercy is forever and it’s free.
I’m forgiven, though I know I’m not the one I need to be.
I’ve taken for granted all you’ve done for me,
But I can feel your boundless grace and inside your embrace, I’m forgiven.

Every day it seems I walk the same path, taking far more than I give.
And I know I’m failing, ‘cause I know it’s not the way I ought to live - and that seems too much to forgive.
Sometimes it's hard to see what’s wrong or right,
But in the darkness you still lead me to the light -
